Vice Admiral Yedidia Ya’ari (res.) Brings Extensive Military and Development Experience to Innovative Gun Lock Makers
Jerusalem, Israel, February 15, 2018 – ZØRE, maker of the world’s fastest locked-to-loaded gun lock, announced today that Vice Admiral (Ret.) Yedidia Ya’ari has joined ZØRE as an Active Director. For over a decade and until 2016, Ya’ari served as Rafael Advanced Defense Systems’ CEO and lead the development of its famed Active Defense field including its game-changing Iron Dome short-range antimissile system.
“Having served for decades in the military, I know that firearms are a critical part of self-defense that need to be respected and kept out of the wrong hands,” said Ya’ari. “When I first saw ZØRE, I was impressed with the technology’s ability to keep guns safe but immediately accessible when necessary.”
Ya’ari served as the Commander of the Israeli Navy from 2000-2004 and is a veteran and former commander of the legendary Flotilla 13 (Shayetet – Israeli Navy Seals), one of the world’s most admired special forces units.
“We’re honored and excited that VADM Ya’ari has joined ZØRE, bringing his considerable military and technological development experience to bear,” said Bruno Escojido, CEO of ZØRE. “During his extensive military service as well as his significant tenure at the helm of Rafael, VADM Ya’ari demonstrated his exceptional aptitude for identifying and meeting challenges head-on with strategic and innovative vision – qualities which will be an invaluable asset to our company’s development.”
ZØRE’s patent-pending technology keeps firearms ready to fire at a moment’s notice but secure from use by unauthorized users. The cartridge-shaped lock, placed in the chamber of a gun, is secured through a revolutionary combination-lock dial, RAPIDial, which allows for fast unlocking under any circumstances, including complete darkness.
ZØRE just recently released its first commercially available product – the ZØRE X Core gun lock.
